The Beauty Scenario Tag

I really enjoy tag posts, both reading and writing them so I am very happy to be writing this one for you today! I thought this was a good follow on from my Welcome post, as it might give you a more of an idea of my beauty style, such as it is. I was tagged by the lovely Reshma from Dazzlegloss3 to do this tag, I hope you enjoy reading my answers as much as I loved reading Reshma’s! 

You have to get rid of all your foundations and only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?

This is much easier to answer than I expected! For high end, I would keep my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation as it just makes my skin look radiant. For drugstore, I would stick with the Rimmel Match Perfect. This is my everyday foundation, I love the level of coverage it provides without looking too made-up and it sticks around all day without looking too shiny, win!

  

You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. 

Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

I really hate it when I have lipstick on my teeth/skirt tucked into knickers/booger hanging around and no one says anything! I think it’s more embarrassing walking around looking like a wally all day than suffering for a few moments to put someone else out of their misery. I would definitely tell her but tactfully!

You're not feeling yourself and you need a pick me up lipstick, which one do you go for?

I would have to say either my Sportsgirl Pout About it in Almost Famous or my new MAC lipstick, Impassioned. Both are gorgeous bright colours, guaranteed to lift my mood.

You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

I think they question here is what don’t I do differently! My teenage years were a bit of a fashion and hair nightmare. I guess I would convince my younger self that my hair doesn’t need to be pulled back in that “facelift” style ponytail and that matching fluoro board shorts and vest are never going to be cool.

You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length pixie lott hair cut but they hear you wrong and give you a pixie hair cut. Do you a) smile, say thank you, leave, call your mum and cry hysterically b) cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) complain to the manager and demand a refund.

I would hope that I might notice before I looked up and saw all my hair was gone! I definitely let the hairdresser know that they had made a mistake then I’d go home and cry for 10 minutes before deciding I could rock it after all. I have had a pixie cut before, with varying degrees of success so why not do it again?

Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. 

Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your makeup bag?

Naked 2, without a doubt! It would be tough to part me from this palette, it’s so versatile. My very favourite shade is Half Baked, it’s such a pretty shimmery gold. I could definitely work a whole set of looks from this one palette.

Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?

Tough call…does my cat count as a product? Does my GHD Air count as a product? No…?

Well then I would have to say my Naked palettes because they were so hard to get ahold of and my Real Techniques brushes because I have fallen in love with them. 

 Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) just pretend you haven't noticed b) ask them to repurchase it or c) secretly do the same to something of theirs

First of all, sharing makeup, eewww! And secondly, my friends all know me too well to return makeup in an awful condition, they just wouldn’t do that BUT for the sake of answering this question: I would say b) I would politely let them know the product wasn’t in the same condition and ask them to replace it.
