A little while back I reviewed the amazing
Clarisonic Mia (you can read the full review here). I fell head-over-heels in
love with the Clarisonic, it’s become a staple in my skincare routine. I have
been using the sensitive brush head since I purchased the Clarisonic but I was
in Mecca Maxima recently and the lovely Lily steered me towards the new
Cashmere Cleanse Brush Heads and I knew I had to have one!
If you want the full Clarisonic story, you
can head over to read my post on the Clarisonic Mia. Essentially, science and
skincare made a baby and named it Clarisonic! One very important detail that I
want to stress is make sure you purchase from a legitimate seller, there are a
lot of uber dodgy Clairisonic fakes around and they are more often than not,
low quality crap! I can recommend both the Clarisonic online shop and Mecca Maxima (excellent
customer service) for any Clarisonic purchases you might need.
The
Product – Cashmere Cleanse Facial Brush Head ($38.00)
The Cashmere Cleanse Brush Head retails for
$38.00, which is a fair bit more expensive than the regular or sensitive ones
which go for $29.00 a pop. But seriously, this feels like your face is being
butterfly kissed by baby angels. I felt extremely creepy in the Mecca shop
standing there caressing this brush! The brush bristles are about twice as long
on the Cashmere brush as the regular or sensitive brushes. The brush design is
also slightly different with no inner circle of black bristles.
Using
the products
I mentioned in my Clarisonic
review that I don’t like the Clarisonic brand cleanser as I find it too thick
and creamy, I prefer a lighter, foaming cleanser. My current favourite is the
Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash. With the sensitive brush head, I
would apply a little dollop of cleanser directly to the brush head but because
the Cashmere brush bristles are so long, I found it much easier to apply the
cleanser either to my hand and then foam up the brush or directly to my face.
Then it’s exactly the same as using a normal brush head, I try to follow the
recommended Clarisonic cleansing pattern (which you can read about here). There is also a smaller brush head
for hard to reach places like around the nose but I honestly don’t think it’s
necessary as the Cashmere is more than able to reach with the extra-long
bristles.
I really liked using the Cashmere
Brush Head, it was a very luxurious cleanse! I have to say though, that I think
I might prefer the deep clean and exfoliated feeling from the Sensitive Brush
Head. However, if you have sensitive skin or use the Clarisonic frequently,
this head is a great alternative as it is super gentle
Overall Score
The
Good
Luxuriously soft
Ideal for sensitive skin or frequent use
Leaves skin feeling soft and gently cleansed
The
Bad
More expensive than the regular brush heads
Doesn’t give the same deep clean feeling of the other brush headsKaBOOM! Cosmetics gives the Clarisonic Cashmere Cleanse Facial Brush Head:
I think the Cashmere Brush Head is an excellent addition to the Clarisonic family. It’s definitely more gentle on the skin than the sensitive head and I cannot stress enough how amazing it feels on the skin (angel kisses, people!). I’d love to hear from any Clarisonic aficionados who have tried this brush.
Stay beautiful!

I wasn't 100% convinced that it actually did anything but once I'd used it, I was converted! I love the way it makes my skin feel
I have both these brush heads and for everyday I like the Cashmere but I don't feel it cleanses my skin properly( although it does, but you get what I mean). So I go in with my Sensetive head maybe once or twice a week to get that fully cleansed feeling.
I agree, it's beautiful and soft and while I'm sure it does a good job, it just doesn't give that same deep clean feeling of the Sensitive brush.
I have been thinking about getting a Clarisonic but they are so pricey!
But you make it sound worth it Dani!

Haha I don't want to be an enabler! .... but I love mine and I use it so frequently and it's made such a difference to my skin. There are a lot of cheaper alternatives too though if you don't want to fork out.
