Like most girls, I’m constantly building up my collection
and searching for the perfect combination of brushes to perfect my makeup
looks. Using a good makeup brush is like being softly kissed by a flock of
heavenly makeup angels who make you look flawless at the same time. A bad
makeup brush is like a small angry cat: does not like being bathed, sheds and
may occasionally scratch you. I’ve had my share of the bad brushes over the
years but here are some of my recent brush purchases that are much closer to
the angel end of the spectrum.

Face/ (Mask) Off
The other night, I decided to take a relaxing bath and pop a
face mask on. I opened up my bathroom drawer and was literally gobsmacked by
the amount of face masks that I’ve managed to accumulate. I usually do a face
mask two or three times a week (if I have time and am not living in my tent in
the bush) but even so, I have a ridiculous amount of face masks. So I’ve decided
to take you through some of the masks that I currently have on rotation in a post that I've named after a creepy/awesome movie.

Purity Made Simple by Philosophy
I feel like it’s been a while since I did a
good old single skincare product review. I’ve been a bit all over the place with my
skincare lately. When I’m working in the bush, I don’t have the time, space or
inclination for a long involved skincare routine. It’s usually just cleanse,
tone, moisturise and even that’s a struggle. Ever tried doing a skincare
routine in a shower cubicle the size of a toilet stall? Not easy! But back to
the topic at hand, today I’m reviewing the cult beauty hit, Purity.

Benefit Hoola
I have been having a short term love affair
with Benefit! It started with a mini sample of High Beam and has ballooned out in
a very short space of time to include… well pretty much everything that Benefit
stocks! Now I wouldn’t say that I am a huge bronzer gal (give me a pretty blush
any day) but I had been looking for a non-shimmery bronzer for contouring for
an absolute AGE. Why must all bronzers be shimmery, why! I do not want to look
like a sparkly coconut! My cousin Sarah from Beauty by Sarah xo actually put me
onto it and I’m so glad I took her advice. I heart Hoola!

Gerard Cosmetics
I’ve been going on and on about Gerard Cosmetics for weeks
now, ever since I met the CEO (Jen) at IMATS and with good reason! I am pretty
new to the brand but I’ve suddenly developed something bordering on obsession
(thanks Kirsty from Lipstick Addict for introducing me!). Although I only currently own two Gerard
Cosmetics products, I’m more than keen to get my hands on more because I’ve
been so happy with the two that I have. So here’s the lowdown on Gerard
Cosmetics.

VS Sassoon Curl Secret Tutorial
Today is a momentous day, it's my very first video tutorial (cue riotous applause)!
The
VS Sassoon Curl Secret ($169.95 but it's on special from the Shaver Shop at the moment for $144.00) was one of my very best hair styling investments, as you get
perfect curls every single time with minimal effort. If you're already a pro at
curling using a straightener, I would give this a miss BUT if you struggle with
creating curls or you just hate the effort that goes into them, then this is
the heat styler for you!

Just Eye-Browsing
Ladies like Cara Delevigne, Bambi and Lily Collins have
brought back the brow in a big (bushy) way and I for one am celebrating. As
someone blessed with more brow than I can usually handle, it’s a relief to be
able to take a step back on brow maintenance and let them be free to march
their merry way across my face. Well maybe I haven’t quite embraced my brows in
their 10% natural state *cough* unibrow *cough* but over the years, I have
accepted that I actually do have quite nice eyebrows! I’ve taken a step away
from the tweezers and instead, I’ve stepped towards products that put the wow
in my brows. Here are a few of my top picks:

Sample Saviour Spending Ban
Are you a sample languishing in Dani's sample stores, just dying for a chance to be used? Well baby, it's your time to shine because the Sample Saviour is here!
I was recently on a little bit of a spring cleaning kick and came across all of the samples that I had secreted away over the last few months. I had such good intentions and I definitely meant to use them all up but as time went by, I just forgot about most of them. After unearthing quite a few sachets, deluxe samples and travel size packages, I have decided to lauch the Sample Saviour in an attempt to clear out my backlog of samples.

The Spring Switch-Up
Ah, spring has sprung! I love feeling the change
in the air as we wave goodbye to winter and start dreaming of lazy days at the
beach and sunshine, glorious sunshine. One of my favourite things about spring
is spring cleaning, nothing beats the feeling of chucking out all your old
things to make room for lovely new things. With that in mind, I have picked up
a few new things to add to my general routine in honour of spring.

Taking Out the Trash - The Bumper Edition
I haven't done a Taking Out the Trash video for a while. I've been steadily accumulating trash over the last couple of months so this edition of TOTT is a bumper one! I was also in a very strange mood that day I filmed this aka just being my normal, weird self, so I hope you enjoy a little peek into my real personality!
